I had the opportunity to speak with Matt in person at many of the Pubcon events as well in the webmasterworld forums way back when he was GoogleGuy /// Matt is a really cool guy that always went out of his way to help the webmaster community from speaking at SEO conferences to producing videos with tips and tricks and more, helping to clear the confusion and giving a voice to Google. He provided a ton of helpful resources allowing us to challenge our brains and get better as webmasters as well giving us a resources that allowed us to show our employer documented information from the Source of Google such as things like “Why did our Rankings Drop” as well helping to clear the confusion in the industry around what Google was doing with ranking, providing more than just a theory and continued to inform us with new additions to an algorithm to areas of technical SEO helping us grow our knowledge and improve our websites as technology evolved.
