Even though you came in a bit late in the search game ???? I have always appreciated your dedicated work for better search and our many good talks, meetings and discussions. We have not always agreed - which is very natural given the fact that the goal of our jobs is not exactly the same.

I remember we discussed this at a SES panel many years ago. As an SEO and a search provider we may agree on many things - such as the value of generally improving search quality and search user experience but when it comes down to the question if my great web shop should top rank or my competitors should we may not always agree. Even if his web shop is objectively a little better than mine I still want mine to rank above him. And when it comes to what methods I may choose to get there we have often disagreed.

But I have always respected you - for your honesty, kindness and willingness to listen.
