I never met Matt, but I used to watch all his videos when he was Google's head of search quality.
I always loved how humble, nice, and mainly transparent Matt was. And we often spoke about his videos internally, with the SEO team, our product managers, and management.
There was one specific video that was very significant for me and helped me a lot over the years to prove a point in internal debates over links, in many different ways.
It was the video in which Matt explained why Widget links should be nofollowed:

Back in 2013, Widgets were huge for us, and thousands of websites were using them, all with followed links.
This one video started a big internal argument, but eventually made us nofollow all of our widgets links.
Looking back at the past 5 years, I think it was a huge decision for our SEO. And every new employee who joins the company and asks me about this decision is being referred to this specific video.
It's just one little example of a 2 minutes video, but it was very big for me personally.
I want to wish Matt all the very best, and Barry thanks for doing this!
