I feel privileged to have been one of the SEOs at the time to connect with Matt Cutts in person at multiple conferences. Not only is he someone who was amazing for the SEO industry and reached a level of super stardom some seldom achieve, he is a down-to-earth, awesome person, and he influenced much of what I continue to practice as an SEO professional. His webmaster videos were a regular viewing, and I learned much from him.

His outreach and respectful communication towards webmasters was second to none, and is sorely missed by many in this industry. He was even generous enough to include me in one of his webmaster videos - which was a pretty cool question that I have always wanted to gain insight on. I never expected that.

Thank you Matt, for all you have done for us. You are a legend to many of us in the industry. You may be gone from the industry, but I don't think you'll ever be forgotten.
